High Valley Hanoverians (HVH) seeks an exceptional individual as the resident Young Horse Dressage Trainer working as a valued member of a team of individuals who place the care/training of the horse and contributing to a harmonious team environment as their highest priorities.
** About the Facility: ** HVH is a Hanoverian producing farm and Warmblood raising station with an excellent herd of young dressage prospects ages foal through well under-saddle. HVH specializes in the training of these young dressage and jumper horses via the unique HVH training method "Developing Warmblood Athletes in the Mind & the Body"®.
About this position: The Young Horse Dressage Trainer position includes shared responsibility for the HVH training program (working with farm owner, FEI Trainer Coach and apprentice trainer) and taking this winning program to the next step. The culture is team oriented in a supportive & positive environment with many opportunities to gain marketable skills. Dedication to quality horse care, excellent work ethic and track record of harmonious team relationship building is essential.
About the applicant: The applicant must be 20+ years of age, physically fit, with experience working in a busy training barn providing detailed care of competition horses. The Young Horse Trainer applicant must have experience establishing foundation training on young dressage Horses including experience working in-hand, backing, developing young dressage horses and competence schooling dressage horses up the dressage levels to 3rd Level dressage. Applicant must be motivated, dedicated, trust-worthy, hard-working, self-starting and enjoy a harmonious work relationship with horses and other facility staff members. Preferred candidate will have a solid experience and/or certification in young dress horse training. Driver's license required and must have reliable transportation (for personal use). Riding video(s) and 3 references are required.
