Blue Meadow Farm in Sudbury, MA is looking for a full time person to assist in managing barn and teaching riding lessons for a busy 24 stall hunter/jumper show barn. Primary responsibilities include managing care of horses, which includes turn out, feeding, preparing grain, administering medications as needed, grooming, booting, blanketing, clipping, holding for vet/farrier, first aid care for horses as well as communicating with clients regarding horse's care. Duties also include teaching riding lessons to primarily beginners with ages of riders ranging from young children to adults. Ideal candidate is a Massachusetts licensed riding instructor with teaching experience. Other duties of this job include riding (if have experience) and lunging horses periodically on a per client request basis. Must have positive attitude and willingness to learn. Willing to train the right candidate. Pay commensurate with experience level.
