Grist Mill Farm, LLC is looking for full or part time barn help at our home barn in Plainville, MA. We are a small boutique barn with 6 horses under our care. Some previous horse experience (in any discipline) is necessary. We have a great group of horses and clients and are a stress free environment. Ideal candidates will have availability to work 3-5 days per week 7 am - 4 pm.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Feeding grain & hay
- Cleaning & filling water buckets
- Turning horses out in paddocks
- Stall cleaning ,
- Grooming
- Tacking & untacking horses
- Bathing
- Picking paddocks
- Various maintenance/organizing projects around barn
Must be reliable, organized, and pay close attention to detail.
Possibility to increase days/hours.
Opportunities to ride and travel to horse shows for right candidates

We are located in Plainville, MA on a beautiful and quiet private farm. We operate out of the smaller stand alone barn that is separate from the main barn building, which is occupied by the owner of the property and their horses. Our barn consists of 6 stalls (currently have 5 horses), a tack room, feed room, hay loft with lots of storage space, and 2 outdoor wash stalls. We use 3 of the large grass paddocks at the front of the property as well as 2 smaller medical paddocks that are next to our barn. The property has an indoor arena with a viewing room, a large outdoor arena and a grass field for riding.
