At Point O'Pines, the Riding Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating, implementing, and continuing an amazing riding program for riders between the ages of 6-15, with skill levels starting from beginners up to advanced riders. The program will give campers the opportunity to explore, learn about, and appreciate activities with horses, including but not limited to: grooming, beginner to advanced instruction, group riding sessions, stable management and more. The Riding Director will supervise 2-4 staff that assist with the program and will be responsible for the well-being and overall management of 12-14 horses, barn management, barn cleanliness, pasture conditions and overall health and wellness of the horses. The Riding Director is a member of our Key Leadership team, having other responsibilities at camp as well. The program includes but is not limited to: lessons, guided trail rides, dressage, jumping, and more. The Riding Director will work with Camp Directors in regards to scheduling farrier work, medical visits and other horses care needs.
