This is a new listing. If you have applied in the past and are still interested, please reapply. ** We have one spot for a student from the United States and one spot available for a student from outside of the US.
TO START: ASAP
Great opportunity to learn about young horses, and fantastic option for someone who already has a grooming skillset, so can earn extra money, see some great venues and still be able to learn, ride and grow as a normal intern would.
Working students gain hands on experience with all aspects of horse care. This covers everything from simple daily operations to much more. The right candidate will have the opportunity to ride fancy young horses and learn all about the ground work that gets them started under saddle.
Working student responsibilities, grooming, bathing, tacking, setting jumps, assisting with clients, turnout, assisting vet and farrier, foal watch....
Possible horse show riding opportunites avaliable for the right person.
If you're thinking about going into horses, this will give you a very realistic look into life on a working farm. It's a fantastic opportunity the right self-motivated individual. Candidates should at least have some previous experience living away from home. As I am hiring you to do a job, and this is not a camp, I expect to deal directly with you as adults and individuals. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older. Please no inquiries from parents.
If you have an equine degree, but no real hands-on experience to put on your resume, this is exactly the kind of internship you need to get hired. If you do a good job here, you will leave with an excellent letter of recommendation.
If you are considering getting an equine degree, a working student internship will give you a great idea what your job would be like after graduation.
Looking for someone to start ASAP. No pets, no smokers.
