Full time live-in internship available for motivated, enthusiastic, mature horse-crazy individual.
Great fall, winter or spring semester internship opportunity. By invitation, you may apply for a gap year at your 4 month mark if we think you're enough of an asset to the team.
Many of our former interns have gone on to be successful USEF professionals, veterinarians, barn managers, farm owners and much more. We have an incredible alumni network, comprised of over 20 years of graduates. We work hard to help you land your dream job once you have earned your forever place in our "farm family".
Great way to build your resume, gain experience and be part of an incredible team.
Fantastic opportunity to learn about, starting young horses under saddle, breeding, medicating, barn management and much more. We are a farm of doers.
No drugs, no heavy drinking, no drama. No mean kids or princesses. We're fun and happy, but hard working. If you're the same, you'll love it here.
Some days it's hot. Some days it's cold. We walk a lot. We lift things that are heavy. The horses always come first.
We have everything from foals, to derby winners, jumpers and medal winners. For an who already rides at an advanced level there will be a lot of riding and possibly showing. However, this is NOT a riding job. You will learn horsemanship, barn management, how to work alongside a vet and farrier and so much more. How much you will ride depends on the ability you arrive with, how hard you work, your attitude and willingness to stay late for ride time. If you do not ride well enough to ride green, you will ride much less than someone who can.
So, what will you gain? Whatever you put in. LOTS of hands on learning opportunities.
Stipend of $400/month.
