Team Dream Training Center (TDTC), owned and managed by Jen Truett (www.jennifertruett.com), is looking for that person who wants to make a difference! Our Assistant Barn Manager & Head Groom position is part of a fun-loving, horse-loving, team of professionals. TDTC is a fast-paced, never boring environment where integrity and trust are highly valued.
The TDTC, is looking for that person who takes a great deal of pride in the proper care of horses, providing leadership for employees and demonstrates a can-do attitude As part of the grooming responsibilities, the individual will use different therapy modalities and will walk, lunge or ride training horses as needed.
What It Takes
• Timeliness, self-direction, self- motivation and a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Ability to lead/manage staff to achieve quality and efficient barn chores and horse care.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate communication between Owner/Head Trainer, staff, clients, veterinarian, farrier,
• Attention to each horse, noticing minor changes: physical, mental, social, appetite
• The skill to logically process information, develop a game plan, communicate ideas clearly and succinctly, implement agreed upon processes, and follow up/check-in with everyone in communication loops.
Essential Skills and Competencies • Experienced in barn management and grooming • Computer skills necessary for bookkeeping, inventory tracking, timekeeping, • A process improvement/organizational skills mindset • Strong communication/interpersonal skills • Experience with veterinary and therapy modalities • Ability to operate farm vehicles

Equestrian Employer Details
Over 40 acres with four-rail fenced pastures and automatic waterers; dry-lots with all-weather footing; a 1/2 mile racetrack; 61 matted box stalls, most 12’x14’; a 75' x 200' indoor arena with state-of-the-art FutureTrak fiber and sand footing, slanted kick walls, over 125 linear feet of 6’ tall mirrors, and surround-sound system for clinics and musical freestyle rides. A climate-controlled observation room with a powder room overlooks the indoor. The indoor arena also allows ample room for participant riders and up to 100 auditors for Educational Events. The indoor and outdoor arenas both got new footing in 2016.
Other amenities: each barn has: tack room with individual tack lockers, washer/dryer for horse laundry, powder rooms, two hot/cold water wash stalls, two grooming stalls. Also, we have a 70' lunging arena; a 100' x 240' and a 70' x 190' outdoor arenas with sand footing; staff apartments in each barn for grooms and working students.
