Looking for an organized and experienced candidate to take over the care management and coordination of 25+ horses. Fairly set hours (we don’t want you at the barn late at night on a regular basis), healthy work environment and livable wage. This is NOT a stall cleaning/feeding position, though stepping in where needed is a skill that is highly valued. We have long term stable hand staff that does this part of the job. Barn Manager would be in charge of managing our herd of lesson horses in partner with the Director of Operations. Lots of systems are already in place, we just need a boots on the ground person to make things run smoothly.

Qualities Candidate needs to possess are: Positivity and solutions focused Organized and can relay information to other team members effectively Ability to work well in a team environment Self Starter who takes initiative, loves horses and the equine industry Skilled at speaking with clients. Detail oriented and likes to keep work environments clean and professional Able to delegate tasks to stable hands

Candidate duties/experience would include: Managing Horse Veterinary Care Managing Feeding Routine/Schedules Administering Medications (IV/IM skills preferred) Managing Farrier Appointments Managing Chiropractor Appointments Arranging for feed to be delivered Hauling experience (for vet trips, off property excursions, etc) Keeping Barn and ranch tidy and organized Updating horse records and forms Managing Blanketing schedules Keeping tabs on horses weight, condition, and grooming A candidate that would also be interested in teaching beginner/intermediate or advanced lessons for more compensation, in addition to these duties, would be highly favored. Our Barn teaches English and Western disciplines!

COMPENSATION & HOURS Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
