Summer residency girls' camp ages 7-15 is looking for horseback riding program instructors. It is a 2.5 month residence position from late May through mid-August 2025. Instructors will manage a curriculum consisting of English style riding (balanced seat) for skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Our two camping sessions are approximately 30 days in length so you can watch your riders progress significantly. First time campers/riders are able to enjoy a camping introduction of two weeks. The campers ride 6 times per week.
A pre-camp in-service training program of riding instruction and teaching will be available. We have 16 camp horses which will be under the riding staff’s care. You will have a riding staff of 5 to assist you with general barn duties (grooming, feeding, some mucking out). The horses spend all their time out in the pasture. We have a barn (used mostly for indoor activities), three arenas, a network of trails.
Shared accommodations with other instructors and all meals provided. You will have 3 evenings and Sunday to enjoy the beautiful Northwoods....or stay and relax in-camp.
In addition to arena and trail work, all riders are taught the care of a horse, horse anatomy and behavior, the care of riding equipment, and certain aspects of stable management. The instructional program and curriculum for Red Pine's Riding Program is based on the United States Pony Club Organization.
Red Pine is accredited by the American Camping Association. Celebrating our 88th summer, Red Pine is the only privately owned property on the shores of Clear Lake. Red Pine's friendly staff is waiting to welcome you.
