We are looking a polo groom - Based 10 minutes north of Salisbury - no polo Experience needed. Working for a private couple based at a polo club. You will be looking after 6 polo ponies, all safe and easy horses. The Horses live in during the day and are out at night.

Good pay and working for two local people, lots of opportunity to learn to ride polo ponies, stick and ball. Very welcoming and fun yard.

MUST be a competent rider and confident riding in canter.

You will be sole charge for our 6 horses and work for us directly. However, we are based on the polo club yard so you will have a team nearby to support if ever needed.

Duties Provide daily care for polo ponies, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness in stables and surrounding areas. Daily exercise of 6 horses - around the set track, hacking, lunging. Grooming for games.

We work 6 days a week with Mondays off - Flexibility around hours in the week.

The average week for us looks like - Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - Bring horses in, check feet, brush etc, feed, on walker (1hour), sort tack, general admin, set horses/lunge/work for (1 hour). Horses out. Thursday - Late start 2/3 - chukkas at 5 - tack up horses and groom for chukkas. Sat and Sunday - games at 11/12 - Groom for games.
